This robo-mower helps ensure you’ll never again have to spend hours in the sweaty pursuit of a perfectly manicured lawn. The Automower does it all for you, so you can kick back and relax.
The Automower works by mulching your grass into teeny tiny bits. These cuttings are excellent natural lawn fertilizer. Your lawn will never look so good with all the life-giving nutrients being returned to your grass. The Automower is suitable for yards up to 0.4 acres, gradients up to 22 degrees, and grass up to 2.4 inches in height. A simple dial on the top of the machine allows you to adjust the length of the cut from 0.78 to 2.36 inches.
Deft Navigation
The Automower uses hidden boundary wires to deftly navigate your yard. Electronic commands conveyed via these wires tell the unit when it’s time to return to the charging station.
The eco mode setting turns off the perimeter wire signal when the mower is charging or parked, saving you money on electricity. The machine has anti-collision sensors so it can tell you when it’s about to hit an obstacle, including kids and pets.

The Automower’s keypad is intuitive and super easy to use. However, if you don’t want to use it, you can program your robo-mower using the Automower Connect App.

Whisper-quiet Operation
You won’t believe how quiet the Automower is. Ten feet away, it’s practically inaudible. With the Automower, your neighbors will never again be disturbed by a noisy, hydrocarbon-spewing monstrosity.
It’s even quiet enough that you can run it in the middle of the night when everyone’s sleeping. The unit has LED lights for night operation, which is helpful if you need to go into your yard during nocturnal use. The lights also start flashing if the unit suffers a malfunction so you can come to its rescue.
Low-cost Replacement Blades and Easy Maintenance
Surprisingly, replacement blades only cost a few bucks, and changing them couldn’t be easier. The only other maintenance you’ll probably ever have to do is cleaning the body of the machine.
Simply pop the shell off, but be careful you don’t damage the cable attached to the headlights. Then, merely brush all the dirt and grass that’s accumulated underneath the mower.
Floating Desk Design
Don’t you hate it when a mower takes a big bite out of your lawn? That won’t happen with the Automower because it uses a floating deck design. This allows it to closely navigate the contours of your yard without scalping the grass.
High-tech Cutting
Onboard GPS maps the lawn before mowing it. This way, the robo-mower can keep track of where it has already cut. When the unit comes across longer-than-usual grass, the mower starts to cut in tight spirals, which is the best way to eliminate lush growth.
A weather timer with three sensitivity levels adjusts mowing to the grass growth rate. This feature increases the cut when the grass grows faster and reduces it during hot and dry conditions and at the end of the season.
Cons
The Automower is IPX4 rated for water resistance. However, it’s not waterproof. While you certainly can operate your mower when it’s drizzling outside, don’t ever submerge it in water unless you want to end up with an expensive paperweight.
The Automower might not be able to mulch larger debris in your lawn, including leaves or twigs. This means you’ll have to take a quick walk through your yard to pick them up before mowing.
On occasion, you’re going to have to extricate your robo-mower from getting stuck in places like horseshoe pits, flower beds, on top of rocks, and other such obstacles. It’s best to block these obstructions, so they’re no longer a hindrance. However, if your Automower does get stuck, it’ll alert you via the app.
The back wheels could use a little more torque because the robo-mower has difficulty climbing hills when the gradient suddenly gets too steep. It might have to approach the grass several times until it finds a spot it can traverse. Unfortunately, you can’t steer it from the app like you can with other robo-mowers. Perhaps in future iterations of the product, they’ll add this feature.
My Final Verdict: Should You Buy the Husqvarna 315X
Husqvarna Automower 315X is the recommended model without reservation.
There’s no question that the Automotor isn’t perfect. However, it succeeds magnificently at doing the job the manufacturer says it does, which is to make maintaining your lawn an easy and effortless process.
